HOW OFTEN CAN I SYNC DATA TO THE STORAGE?
There is no limitation as long as you stay below your allocated bandwidth.
CAN I USE MY STORAGE FOR RANDOM ACCESS?
Yes. There is no limitation at all, please note that latency may be an issue for some types of applications.
ARE MY DATA PROTECTED FROM SIMULTANEOUS CHANGES?
The safe answer is No. But it really depends on how you access the cloud storage service.
ARE SNAPSHOTS SUPPORTED?
Yes. You can create a snapshot and freeze data as many times as you want, please note that snapshots consume the exact same amount of data on your account as the original data you stored.
CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE USERS PER CLOUD STORAGE ACCOUNT?
Yes. You can create up to 3 users by default.
CAN I REMOUNT THE CLOUD STORAGE FROM THE SAME ORIGINATING IP?
Yes. You can have up to 5 simultaneous connections from different clients or the same client.
CAN I USE MY CLOUD STORAGE FOR THE CLOUD BACKUP SERVICE?
Yes. When you order the cloud backup service you just purchase the master node service, then you can attach your cloud storage account to the master node.
CAN I ACCESS CLOUD STORAGE SECURELY FROM A 3RD PARTY LOCATION?
Yes. We offer a VPN bridge for extra cost that allows you to access your data over an encrypted channel even for non encrypted protocols like smb.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY CLOUD STORAGE OVER S3?
You will need to purchase our S3 bridge service. This will provide you with the required end points for your client application.
CAN I RUN THE S3 BRIDGE ON A SERVER IN MY PREMISES?
Yes. You will need a server running Centos 7, 120GB SSD for local caching, 16 GB RAM and a quad core CPU R5+. In this case we can't offer HA or LB for the service.
CAN I HAVE AVAILABILITY ZONES FOR MY CLOUD STORAGE OVER S3?
Yes. We can provide endpoints for your cloud storage instances for all the availability zones we offer. The S3 bridge service is required and there is no extra cost for this feature.
DO YOU OFFER A MANAGEMENT INTERFACE FOR S3?
Yes. We offer a full web management interface for managing buckets, users, ACL, attributes and rudimentary file management.
IS THE CLOUD ACCESS SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY CLOUD STORAGE?
No. The cloud access service is a different service. One of its features is that it can access your cloud storage directly.
WHAT IS THE ACCOUNT LIMIT PER CLOUD ACCESS SERVICE INSTANCE?
You can have up to 500 accounts per instance. Please note that each account is charged individually.
HOW MANY GUEST ACCOUNTS CAN EACH INSTANCE OF CLOUD ACCESS SERVICE SUPPORT?
You can have up to 1000 guest accounts, please note that stored data and bandwidth transfers are charged to the main account holder for all guest accounts.
DOES TEXT CHAT, VOICE CHAT, VIDEO CHAT, CALENDAR, EMAIL OR TASKS CONSUME ACCOUNT BANDWIDTH?
No. All services other than file transfer are offered without cost.
